D R E A M D A Z
E NEWSLETTER 31 MARCH 20022
RANT
D R E A M D A Z E has spent the last month being humbled by
sending out demos to several companies.
They’ve been rejected often, but the good news is that they’ve been
picked up by raw42, a music publisher in
the UK. Even there, raw42 has only accepted one of
four songs submitted, but contracts are signed and a deal’s a deal – so start
paying attention to British commercials!

LATEST MUSIC AVAILABLE
Recently D R E A M D A Z E has been experimenting with Down Tempo and
Ilbient – which they seem to have a knack for.
The approach taken is to focus on the beats and bass as much as in a
drum’n’bass piece but then to add the random and non-linear effects and sounds
more typical of the ambient styles – with a little world pop thrown in
occasionally. The effects of these
experimentations can be heard in ‘Curtain’, ‘Brevity’ and ‘Shag Lawrence’.
Work continues on ‘Miscellaneous’, the upcoming CD from D R E A M D A Z
E. Currently there are too many songs
for one CD, so eventually the songs designated for ‘Miscellaneous’ at www.dreamdaze.org will be split into two
CDs. ‘Miscellaneous’ will feature the
alternative hip hop/drum’n’bass/ambient songs while the trance songs will be
split into another CD titled ‘Goa A-Go-Go’.
LATEST CD
‘Swamp’, the most recent CD by D R E A M D A Z
E, is complete. ‘Swamp’ alternates 70
bpm ambient songs with 140-150 bpm trance and techno songs. Each subsequent song shifts one key (E to F,
F to G, etc) and carries forward at least one loop from the preceding song,
giving the work a certain ‘flow’.
